Aiza is 11 Months and 6 Days Now

And so begins my month of mourning. ;) How is my baby so big?? Already?? Aiza is just such a sweetheart. She's SO funny - this month, if it was possible, she got even LOUDER, even sillier and even more weird. ;) I'm not sure what's in the water in this house, but we grow them big, loud and crazy over here!

She is eating everything, all the time, always and forever amen. That kid can put away food. Needless to say, mealtimes are Aiza's favorite time of the day. She's still nursing four times a day and eating three good meals and at least two snacks now. She loves bananas, sweet potatoes, chicken nuggets and he mostly loves squeeze packs more than almost anything in the world. ;) She's learned how to drink out of a straw this month and now, the child has discovered sweet iced tea. Sweet tea brings the biggest smile to her face ever! Ha!

She's fast. She has absolutely zero interest in walking but she can zip around here crazy fast! My wife and I have to run to catch up with her! She's also started climbing. If she can get that knee up on it, she's up there. The stairs, the bunk bed, Nathan's chair... you name it, she's climbing it.

She loves anything that has to do with her mother. Anything. Anything. This has been the source of a lot of joy, fun, frustration and chaos in our house this month since Aiza can now pretty much get anywhere she wants to get.
Aiza loves, loves when she and my wife are playing together.

Aiza can say Mama, Dada,  and "Papapa". She says the same word every time when she sees Kody but it doesn't sound anything like Kody. Ha! she’s very good at asking for more and waves her hands like crazy when she's all done eating (or starts throwing food. But you know, whatever gets the message across). She loves cates the most, and with out being afraid she get over the cate. Thanks to Cats, that they don’t respond to her.

She's also this month developed a little bit of a temper.... oy. Not ready for these days already! If she doesn't want to do something and you are holding her, he'll go all boneless to try and slide out of your hands. If you aren't holding her, she's now laid down on the floor and started throwing a big fit several times. At this point, it's more amusing than anything and if I just walk away and ignore her, She snaps right out of it. But oh goodness. I'm eating all the chocolate I can right now just to stockpile emotionally for what is coming. ;)

Aiza is goofy, silly, quite the dancer, loves to make music, loves to snuggle (LOVES to snuggle!), is the best at destroying at room in .006 seconds, has the sweetest hugs, the bestest cheeks for kissing, loves to be tickled, loves to be kissed and is still 100% okay with being held all day long. ;) Se's the absolute perfect little daughter of us, and is so precious to us that we don't even have the words. We are so blessed by her!

Happy 11 months, my sweet Daughter!!

My Brother, Can be This kind of Uncle, Oh Never Imagined

I remember the first time my younger brother saw my newborn daughter. "She looks like a little alien," he said, afraid to hold her or get too close.
Over the coming days I saw him sneaking peeks at the mysterious, mini "creature" who had come into our lives. He seemed intrigued but still watched her from a distance. He'd never been around a newborn baby before, even though he was in his late twenties. I wondered if he would ever warm up to the idea of being an uncle.
As my daughter grew, so did my brother's bravery. Soon he ventured into engaging with her. In fact, when my baby's uncle would come for a visit, it seemed he only had eyes for her, spending hours playing on the floor with her, doing magic tricks and making her laugh. Frequent visits from my daughter's uncle were full of games of hide-and-seek, coloring sessions and piano lessons. Gifts from my brother were touchingly thoughtful. His calls were always to ask how his favorite girl was doing. Despite the distance, he continued to be a support to our family.
I thought my heart might burst as I witnessed their bond develop over time. It was clear my daughter was quite taken with her funny, charismatic, attentive uncle. And he was head over heels in love with her, even if he didn't exactly say it.

One day my wife and I were talking about who we would want to take care of our kids if something happened to us. I began to think about how my brother, a reserved, composed man, normally goofs around with my girls, just to get them to laugh or smile, and how that has warmed my heart. But it was also obvious I could trust my brother to do so much more than entertain my dinner, during dinner.
I knew in my heart the person I would want to raise our girls, but I wasn't sure how my wife would feel. Did she see the same thing I did when I looked at my brother's relationship with our daughter?
“What about your brother?" she asked, without me having to say a word. I exhaled. Good. We were completely on the same page.
It's amazing how clear it is to us that my brother, who has no children of his own, would always do the right thing when it came to raising our daughters if we were unable to. Had you asked me that first day when my brother met my firstborn, if I would ever consider entrusting him with such a huge responsibility, I would have laughed! But the blossoming of his relationship with my family has been the most unexpected, wonderful journey to witness

Important Milestones of Aiza Khan

Aiza Khan at the age of 10th Months assures her Parents with certain things, that she is normal and growing up. She plays, learns, speaks, and acts offers important clues about her development, though these Developmental milestones are things most children can do by a certain age.
Social and Emotionally, Aiza is no way afraid of strangers, but rather welcome everyone with her deep heart smile, She welcomes strange people with moving her small hands horizontally and vertically. She is too much familiar with family members and keeps on looking each of them, until they look back to them with a responsive smile or hello. She is open to every toy and has got no discriminative thoughts to them.  However her lingual/Communicational skills are weak, but still she understands No, she makes a lot of different sounds like Didiiiii, Mamamma, Babababab, sometime she makes a beautiful copy of gesture also she point at things. Moreover; Aiza Cognitive (learning, thinking, problem-solving) skills are a bit developed as compare to other observational skills. She watches the path of something as it falls, Looks for things he sees you hide, Plays peek-a-boo, Puts things in her mouth, Moves things smoothly from one hand to the other, Picks up things like cereal o’s between thumb and index finger, that’s what I am really happy for. Her physical growth is encouraging, as she stands up, holding on, can get into sitting position, sits with out support, pulls to stand and crawls.

God bless Her, She is the Only Hope of my Life
